One of the World’s Rarest Dark Sky Designations
The area around the lodge has been recognised as part of an International Dark Sky Sanctuary, one of the rarest designations in the world for places with exceptionally low light pollution. These sanctuaries are defined by their remoteness, their commitment to conservation, and their dedication to keeping the night sky wild.
For guests, this means an invitation into stillness. You don’t need a telescope. Just step outside.
The Milky Way is startlingly clear. Planets shimmer. Satellites pass in silence. And if you’d like, our guides will help you trace constellations and hear the stories they carry. Some come from astronomy, others passed down through generations.

No. The night sky is exceptionally clear due to the lodge’s remote location and very low light pollution. You can simply step outside to see the Milky Way, planets and satellites.
